Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the healthcare industry, located in Cockeysville, Maryland. This role involves maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with the overall accounting operations of the company. It requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Responsibilities: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Conduct regular audits to ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections. Assist with the preparation and coordination of the audit process. Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly. Support the month-end and year-end close processes. Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies. Collaborate with other departments to support overall business goals and objectives. Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar position within the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industry Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently Experience in managing and maintaining the General Ledger Proficient in creating and posting Journal Entries Solid experience in executing Month End Close processes Expertise in using NetSuite for various accounting tasks and functions Familiarity with QuickBooks software for accounting purposes Proficiency in using SAP for managing financial transactions and reporting Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and as part of a team High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
