This position is open to anyone who meets the minimum and selective qualifications listed below. This is a position specific recruitment. The resulting list of eligible candidates will be used to fill this vacancy or function only. You will need to reapply for any future recruitment conducted for this job classification. Nature of Work : This position functions as a Workforce Analyst in the Workforce Management Division. This position will be responsible for developing reorganizations and conducting research to develop guidance for best workforce management practices. The Workforce Analyst will analyze human resources data and provide reports to management. This position will also assist with the implementation of the SHA’s apprenticeship program. "The State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) has been named Training Magazine’s Training APEX Awards for the fifth consecutive year."QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.Experience: One (1) year of professional HR work in the areas of either job analysis, job evaluation, salary administration, employee recruitment and selection, employment services and benefits, employer-employee relations, HR program evaluation, or HR policy formulation.Selective Qualification: One (1) year of experience must have involved pulling, analyzing, and creating reports using human resources data.This statement contains a selective qualification, which is more focused in scope than the minimum qualifications for this classification. Selective qualifications are utilized when the position requires specific or additional bona fide occupational qualifications (i.e., knowledge, skill, or abilities).Notes:

Thirty graduate semester credits from a college or university in the fields of HR administration, business administration, public administration, statistics, tests and measurements, or psychology may be substituted for one year of experience.

Paraprofessional HR experience or professional HR management work experience may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four years of the required education.

For employer/employee relations positions, applicants may substitute the possession of a Juris Doctor or equivalent degree from an accredited school of law for the required experience.

Candidates may substitute equivalent U.S. Armed Forces military service experience on a year for year basis for the required education and experience.
