Maintenance Technician – Baltimore Area
A well-established real estate investment company is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join its team. This role involves assisting with the maintenance and operational oversight of multiple properties in the Baltimore area. The ideal candidate will help ensure the efficient operation and upkeep of these properties while maintaining high-quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and site systems, including but not limited to:
Fire protection and sprinkler systems
Plumbing (sewer mains, drains, structural plumbing, sump pumps)
Electrical and lighting systems for buildings and outdoor areas
Roofing, structural components, flooring, and painted surfaces
Fixtures, furnishings, and general building upkeep
Conduct regular property inspections to assess maintenance needs and recommend necessary repairs or improvements
Communicate with the Property Manager regarding ongoing maintenance projects and promptly report any issues
Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company policies (OSHA guidelines, etc.)
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with tenants, vendors, and visitors
Collaborate with security personnel to maintain a safe environment for tenants and guests
Support the marketing team with event setups and property-related logistics
Keep accurate maintenance records and documentation
Perform additional maintenance tasks as required
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance-related role
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license (required for operating company vehicles)
Skilled in using various tools and equipment for maintenance and repairs
Strong understanding of safe work practices
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to assess and execute repairs efficiently
Ability to climb ladders/scaffolding and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Capable of walking properties multiple times daily and standing for extended periods (up to 6 hours)
Effective communication skills
Flexible schedule, including availability for weekend and after-hours work
Pay is based on experience, skills, and relevant certifications in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC fields
