Restoration East is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our in-house shop team in Rosedale, Maryland.

We are a construction company specializing in concrete repairs and waterproofing, with a focus on parking garage restorations throughout the DC and Baltimore metropolitan areas. We own and maintain all of our vehicles and equipment, performing 99% of repairs in-house, which ensures a steady flow of maintenance work. Our fleet ranges from Mack roll-off trucks and Ford pickup trucks (both diesel and gas) to Toyota Camrys. We also maintain a variety of construction equipment including Bobcat skid steers, forklifts, concrete buggies, air compressors, and more. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our vehicles and equipment through effective maintenance and repair. This role requires attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance on equipment and vehicle fleet to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues as they arise.

Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings to facilitate repairs on various equipment types, such as bobcats, forklifts, and air compressors.

Collaborate with other team members to enhance equipment maintenance efforts and ensure timely resolution of issues.

Mentor junior staff and promote best practices in preventive maintenance and repair procedures.

Maintain accurate maintenance records and adhere to all safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

Hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, with expertise in automotive diagnostics and vehicle servicing.

Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic instruments, including multimeters and ohmmeters.

Strong understanding of electrical systems, air brake systems, and component-level troubleshooting.

Skilled in reading and interpreting schematics and hydraulic system diagrams.

Ability to fabricate or modify components as needed to complete repairs.

Strong leadership and communication skills to foster teamwork and mentor junior technicians.

Standard shop hours are 7am - 5:30pm Monday through Friday

Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
