As a DOT Driver (Non CDL)/Donations Ambassador you will be responsible for creating and maintaining an extraordinary donor, volunteer and shopper experience in the Habitat ReStore. The DOT Driver (Non-CDL)/Donations Ambassador is responsible for the safe operation and transportation of goods within a company provided 16-26 foot box truck in accordance with local, state and federal laws.
This a physically demanding role, as you will be required to lift, carry, and move donations of various sizes and weight in and out of the box truck, from the warehouse to the sales floor and from the sales floor or warehouse to customer vehicles. While physically demanding the work is also rewarding and plays a critical part in the overall success of Habitat for Humanity’s mission of bringing people together to build homes communities and hope.
Work Schedule: Available to work within the hours of Tuesday - Saturday 8:30am-6:30pm and be willing to travel within Baltimore City and Baltimore, Howard and Anne Arundel Counties
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Experience as a team player with a positive attitude
Flexibility and willingness to perform different tasks in pursuing the mission of the organization
Professionalism and a high level of customer service
Forklift certified preferred
Ability to use GPS and computers/tablets
Able to work independently and with deadlines
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check, and DOT Physical Exam
