QC/LEAD INSPECTOR/MANAGER

Command Technology Inc is seeking an experienced Lead/Management Quality Inspector for our fast-paced Aerospace manufacturing company. This position will oversee the Quality department as well as perform quality inspections on all Incoming, outgoing, and in-process manufactured parts. The Lead QC Inspector will lead by example and coach/train others to verify standard procedures and quality standards are met.

Primary Responsibilities:

Interpret blueprint/technical drawings and specifications

Inspect, test, or measure complex machined parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece.

Ability to properly organize and prioritize workload and flow. Some direction may be given by QC Director and President.

Ensure standard practice are followed in all aspects of work including inspection, documentation, process verification, tool operation and material handling.

Measure products with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and pin gauges

Ability to perform first article inspection and record inspection results in accordance with established procedures

Review product manufacturing and quality records to verify completeness and acceptability.

Input inspection results data into electronic database.

Identify, segregate and document nonconforming material.

Basic Qualifications:

8+ years’ experience in inspection of precision machined parts

8+ years' experience as a Lead/Management position within the Aerospace industry

QA/QC in precision machine shop environment

Expert knowledge and application of geometric tolerancing

Expert knowledge and application of precision measuring equipment

Expert ability to read blue prints supporting the Aerospace/Defense industry

Familiar with Aerospace industry documentation, such as AS9100 and Nadcap specifications.

Ability to interface with machinists in a professional and respectful manner

Excellent organization skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills – English must be primary language

Very detail oriented & Team player

Intermediate computer skills and competency with Microsoft computer applications
