We are seeking an experienced Mil-Spec painter for our fast-paced aerospace manufacturing company. The painter shall use various painting techniques and spray equipment to prep and paint the interior/exterior of assembled aircraft/aerospace parts.

Primary Responsibilities:
Select the appropriate paint or mix paints according to military and aerospace specifications.
Mix and apply various primers with thickness requirements.
Mix and apply various topcoat finishes including stripping and other detail work- polyurethanes, epoxy, lacquers, clears (gloss, semi-gloss and flat colors)
Use of mil specs, detailed blueprints, fabrication, assembly outlines, sketches, patterns, and written or verbal instructions.
Set up, maintain, and operate typical shop equipment including conventional spray guns, pressure pot, HVLP, power, airbrush, Mil thickness measuring devices, gloss meter and paint shaker.
Manage paint inventory, monitoring, tracking, and ordering directly from suppliers.
Paint booth manometer and temperature/humidity readings and tracking required
Work directly with specialty repairs (scratches, dents, damage, blending colors)
Basic Qualifications:
4 years painting experience in an industrial setting required
Must be able to read and understand paint specifications and SWI (standard work instructions)
Ability to mix, understand and apply application formulas
Ability to operate painting spray or product coating equipment as required.
Excellent attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality
Knowledgeable in production time management
Able to work in a demanding fast paced environment.
Must have good attendance and punctuality
