Applicant must have a driver's license, access to a vehicle for commuting and occasional deliveries and a high school diploma.
Applicant shall be trained to use specialized graphic software to operate engraving machines and to create sign layouts. Applicant must have experience with Adobe Illustrator and must be proficient in operating a computer using the current and past versions of Microsoft Windows and must be able to use email. Applicant must also be familiar with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Adobe Reader. Other duties required will be weeding computer cut vinyl, applying vinyl to sign blanks, making deliveries and occasionally helping out with installations on our job sites. Applicant must be able to lift 50 pounds and take measurements with a ruler. Sweeping/ vacuuming up their work area, light weekly cleaning and trash take out is also required.
Hours are full time from 8 AM to 4 PM, which includes one hour for lunch. There will be no smoking inside the shop. Shirt, pants, shorts and shoes are required for the company dress code. Hearing and eye protection will be available for all employees.
After 6 months of employment employee shall receive 2 weeks of paid vacation, 3 paid sick days and 2 unpaid sick days. 401 K shall be available after 6 months of employment. Company group health insurance plans are not available.
Adcorp has been in business for 35 years and is located on a residential property in White Hall, Maryland. Training will start at 9:30 AM and run to 5:30 PM until Adcorp's manager is satisfied the employee has received the proper amount of instruction. Once the initial training has been completed the employee's hours will shift to 8 AM to 4 PM and they will be required to work alone for several hours during the morning. If the applicant would like to start earlier than 8 AM or later at 8:30 AM this is acceptable.
