Job Summary:
Maslan, Maslan, & Rothwell, P.A is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Clerk/Secretary to provide administrative and clerical support to our attorneys and legal team. The successful candidate will be a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or further their career in the legal field. This is an in-person position; remote work is not available.
Clerical Duties:
Answering phones, taking messages, and directing calls appropriately.
Greeting clients and visitors professionally and courteously.
Managing incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and deliveries.
Maintaining and organizing physical and electronic files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Scanning, photocopying, and faxing documents.
Preparing and processing correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents.
Scheduling appointments, meetings, and court appearances.
Drafting and proofreading legal documents, letters, and emails.
Preparing court filings and ensuring compliance with court rules and procedures.
Managing attorney calendars and deadlines.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Professional demeanor and positive attitude.
