Traffic Count Field Technician Position

This is most often roadside counter boxes and road tube sensors, which are secured to the road surface with masonry nails/clamps and mastic tape or camera/DVR systems. Training (on the job) includes instruction on safety, traffic monitoring principles, operation and installation of monitoring equipment, and computer software used for data reporting (Equipment manufactures’ proprietary software and Microsoft Excel).

We are currently performing on statewide data collection contracts in Maryland.

Requirements: Clean driving record, AVAILABILITY FOR DAY OR NIGHT SHIFT work as and when required (which is contract assignment dependent), and familiarity with Microsoft Windows basic principles (mouse use and opening/closing programs, etc.).
