Job Description:
Executes small scale or large-scale landscape/hardscaping operations. participates in preparing and grading terrain, applying fertilizers, seeding and sodding lawns, transplanting trees, shrubs and plants, using manual and power-operated equipment; makes sure equipment is used safely and properly. Plants new and repairs established lawns using seed or sod. Locates and plants shrubs, trees, and flowers according to a landscape plan. Trims shrubs and cultivates gardens. Dig trenches and install drains. Ensures crew, materials and customer properties are in the very best conditions possible. Responsible for proper use of all equipment (hand tools and power-operated). Displays professional appearance and manner. Ensures company grounds are maintained and keeps a professional appearance. Must have the ability to effectively communicate with others, customers, vendors, managers, and crew members.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
Must be able to pull, push and lift up to 50Lbs of weight through the day; must possess strength, and mobility to perform heavy physical work out doors in all weather conditions and with exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, use varied hand and power tools, may drive a motor vehicle and/or heavy construction equipment; lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 90 pounds, and heavier with the use of proper equipment; ability to communicate in person and over the telephone and/or mobile phone with others. Must be available to work overtime as required.
Requirements:
2+ years in the landscape industry leading a crew
State Driver’s License with clean record, and ability to pass and maintain a DOT Physical Certification
Knowledgeable in landscape equipment, tools, techniques
Common construction and landscape maintenance hand tools, equipment, and material knowledge.
Desire to continue education

Good listening skills
Communication skills (Spanish and English spoken is a plus).
Good planning and organizational skills
Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
