L’Auberge Provençale, a renowned fine dining French restaurant and boutique inn, is seeking a passionate and creative Sous Chef to join our close-knit kitchen team. Our farm-to-table philosophy is at the heart of our culinary approach—we grow our own vegetables and herbs, maintain an orchard with seasonal fruits, and partner with local farms to source the freshest ingredients. Our ever-evolving menus feature a five-course Chef’s Prix Fixe and an à la carte selection, allowing for constant creativity and innovation.
As Sous Chef, you’ll work alongside Executive Chef Alex Sakelakos, serving as both a creative partner and a driving force in the kitchen. We’re looking for someone who is innovative, organized, fast-paced, and eager to contribute new ideas. This role offers exciting opportunities for growth and advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop innovative, seasonal menus
Assist in meal planning, preparation, and execution
Provide hands-on support to the kitchen team, including line cooking, food prep, and plating
Ensure a safe, sanitary, and efficient kitchen environment
Continuously refine and improve culinary techniques based on feedback
Ideal Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of both modern and classic cooking techniques
Passion for cutting-edge, inventive cuisine
Ability to think outside the box and bring fresh ideas to the table
