Hersh's is seeking a part-time Host who can also serve as a Food Runner on certain shifts. The position requires great people skills and strong organizational skills.
We are a popular Italian restaurant in South Baltimore. The ideal candidate will be a natural at providing friendly hospitality to guests. This is a fast-paced position that requires some hustle and a lot of attention to detail. The restaurant is on two floors. The job requires some climbing of stairs. If you don't hustle and thrive at a fast pace (and smile a lot), this is not the job for you. Availability on weekend nights is required.
No late nights! (We close at 10 pm; 9 pm on Sundays). Shifts start at 4:45 pm and generally end around 8:30 on weekdays and 9:00 on weekends for hosting shifts. Runner shifts start same time but can go until 10:00 or 11:00. The start time is somewhat flexible for people who have day jobs.
Running shifts average $21/hour; Host shifts average $18/hour.
