Food Truck Lead Cook/Driver

Job description

Looking for a highly motivated individual to be the lead cook on a food truck. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and valid driver’s license. The candidate should be willing to work independently and stick to a predefined schedule.

Qualifications:

Responsible, safe, and reliable individual

Ability to work varied hours/days and to start shift at early hours (including holidays)

Ability to stay focused for extended periods of time.

Excellent customer service skills

Strong verbal communication and listening skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Prioritization and time management skills

Ability to multitask in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Must be 25 years of age minimum.

Must have Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Drug free and ability to pass background check.

Experience driving large truck/trailer (14-22 feet) required.

Ability to sit/stand and exert fast-paced mobility for long periods of time.

Ability to lift up to 45 pounds at times.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve food items in accordance with established recipes and portion control guidelines.

Drive food truck safely to/from event locations; duties including cook and/or cashier, inventory, and other duties.

Have flexibility for travel to/from events when necessary.

Ready truck for Inspection required by all applicable laws, statutes, and regulations.

Assist food truck team members during events.

Respond to all communication from coordinators and managers in timely manner.

Operate vehicles/equipment safely and in accordance with policies and applicable laws.

Practice safe food handling and cleanliness standards at all times.

Comply with company policies and procedures, work rules, safety requirements, quality standards, and applicable local, State, and Federal laws, and traffic regulation.

Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

Experience:

Previous experience in a food service or kitchen environment is preferred but is not needed.

Knowledge of basic math principles for measuring ingredients and calculating portion sizes.

Familiarity with sanitation practices to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
