Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant. The role will involve managing and analyzing financial records, ensuring the collection of taxes and fees, and handling customer interactions to resolve complex issues. Responsibilities: Manage the collection of local taxes and fees due, ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations Analyze and resolve issues related to revenue analysis and develop strategies for revenue maximization Conduct regular analysis and reporting of monthly revenue Analyze financial records of businesses to identify and resolve issues Issue bills and correspondences as needed and verify adjustments to bills Provide assistance with escalated customer calls over the phone, via email, and in person Review financial trends and inconsistencies in various internal and external systems Maintain documentation of all revenue-related activity for reference purposes Utilize Microsoft Excel to compile and interpret data, create reports Carry out research duties as part of the role.Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role. Demonstrated proficiency in Collections and Local Taxes. Proven ability to maintain and manage Financial Records. Experience in analyzing Financial Statements. Strong problem-solving skills to effectively Resolve Issues. Knowledge and experience in Revenue Accounting. Expertise in Reporting, specifically relating to Monthly Revenue. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must hold an accounting or finance degree from an accredited institution. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
