The company’s brand portfolio includes the leading brands Domino®, C&H®, Redpath®, Tate & Lyle®, Lyle’s® and Sidul®.OVERVIEW The Security Manager reports to the Director Corporate Security and is responsible for managing and maintaining the overall safety and security of the ASR Group’s Baltimore MD Refinery. The Security Manager will act as a visible deterrent to crime and security rule infractions. Manager will be responsible for detecting, reporting, and acting upon suspicious or criminal acts, which may be a threat to employees/guests, company property, or product. This position will report security concerns, breaches and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing, maintain compliance with all facility and governmental security regulations, and will build and maintain effective relationships with management, employees and guests. The Security Manager will have responsibility for acting as the Facility Security Officer (FSO) for purposes of governmental maritime regulations. Travel will be less than 15%. REQUIRED EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE

Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited 4-year institution concentrating in Criminal Justice, Criminology or related field

5 years of applicable professional security experience

At least 3 years of management experience in a security leadership role

Prior experience working as security or related capacity in an industrial setting

Prior experience with port compliance/audits is highly preferred

Advanced technology knowledge and experience in the use, care and maintenance of Access Control, CCTV, and Alarms systems etc. in particular ProWatch, MaxPro, Visitor and Video Management Systems

Willing to obtain within the first two-years Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification

Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)

PREFERRED EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE

Milita ry or law enforcement background is highly preferred

Advanced security technology knowledge and experience

Experience in conducting internal investigations and having an understanding of the law

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibility as site Security Manager who manages all security incidents, investigations and other related security matters

Support the Security Mission of the refinery, ensuring all refinery employees, contractors and visitors are fully compliant with all refinery rules and regulations

Completes all required governmental maritime regulations

Walks the facility regularly to ensure compliance with security regulations; escalates issues as needed

Supports the Human Resources department by creating access credentials for newly hired personnel and for current personnel as the situation dictates

Ensure all aspects of the security plan are followed by all refinery personnel; this includes all inspections and completion of logs to ensure compliance with Canadian law

Monitor CCTV systems for access violations and procedural errors; correct as needed. Recommend system enhancements.

Direct and schedule contracted guard service personnel in day-to-day security business and operations

Expert handling of all security incident requirements; liaise with all applicable local and federal law enforcement agencies.

Function as the incident commander in all emergency response situations in the refinery (fire, medical, severe weather, etc.)

Available to perform all functions when scheduled to be on-call

Keeps Director well informed, both verbally and in writing, of any and all issued within assigned area of responsibility; escalates issues to Director, Corporate Security as needed

Performs other duties as assigned

Conduct risk assessment, auditing and gap analysis as required to identify risks and gaps and make recommendations for improvement and sustainability of the safety and security program

Maintains a working partnership with Plant Management

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

Conducts regular meetings with direct reports to keep them informed of current problems, changes and new developments in the department and company

Monitors work productivity and recommends and implements changes to improve work productivity

Plans and monitors workload for timely and accurate completion

Coordinates workflow and procedures to maximize service

Coaches and counsels direct reports on performance issues

Arranges for cross training of team to maximize productivity and provide coverage of all functions

Completes time off approvals and scheduling for coverage as needed

Must be able to successfully manage a third-party security force

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Ability to work in an Industrial Manufacturing setting

Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift

Stand or walk constantly (for up to an entire shift) on various surfaces (tile, concrete, carpet).

Occasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties

Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds

Run as needed

Constant use of both hands and arms in reaching/handling/grasping/fingering while using phone, notepad, writing reports,

and other administrative tasks

Correctable vision allowing to observe, read, interact with public and co-workers, view security monitors

Work in various environments including adverse outdoor conditions such as cold, rain or heat

Constant mental alertness and attention to detail required while setting priorities and following up on assignments

Travel will be less than 15%

SALARY PAY RANGE: $112,500.00 - $209,500.00 plus bonus

The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
