Description A non-profit organization in Baltimore City is seeking a Visitor Experience Representative to join their team on a part-time basis. The schedule for this position is, Thursdays from 12:15-8:15 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays 9:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.This role will welcome all visitors to the museum, and work closely with the Visitor Experience volunteers, Accessibility Advocate and other frontline staff across museum departments, including Security, Retail Operations, and Maintenance teams.Requirements
Support the daily operations and frontline experience by assisting visitors with various needs, provide information about the museum collection, campus, and Baltimore City and surrounding areas, and resolve routine customer issues and complaints.
Staff Visitor Information areas as scheduled by the Director of Visitor Experience and Visitor Experience Associate, modeling excellent customer service for volunteers and staff, including proactive, positive greetings and interactions.
Navigate frequently asked visitor questions regarding the collection, Baltimore city,
transportation, local events, museum website, photo resource programs, city maps, and other tools as needed.
Respond to phone inquiries, taking the initiative to solve any problems or answer any questions first and forwarding to colleagues when appropriate.
Facilitate registration, as needed, for programs requiring admission.
Conduct periodic inspections of public spaces during the day and notify security and
maintenance when assistance is needed.
Restock inventory of museum maps, brochures, magazines and visitor information.
Review current signage for accuracy; communicate recommendations for edits, changes or new signage to better serve visitors.
