Paralegal

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Paralegal with a focus on family and estate law in Baltimore, Maryland. This role involves serving as a liaison between clients, preparing basic family and estate documents, drafting wills and trusts, and potentially preparing probate documents. Light litigation with trial preparation and document organization may also be required. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Follow up with clients and serve as a liaison between them and our team Prepare basic family and estate documents including power of attorney and medical power of attorney Draft wills and trusts, primarily through form completion Potentially prepare probate documents, although this will not be a frequent requirement Occasionally participate in light litigation, including trial preparation and document organization Competently complete property deeds as needed, although this is not a must-have skill Notary duties as required Utilize Adobe Acrobat and LexisNexis for document preparation and case management Use a management system for efficient case handling and calendar management. Requirements Possess a comprehensive understanding of paralegal principles and practices Proficiency in using Adobe Acrobat for document management Familiarity with Case Management Software for efficient handling of legal cases Ability to utilize LexisNexis for legal research and case preparations Experience with Management System for streamlining legal processes Capable of managing calendars, schedules, and appointments effectively Knowledge in Trusts and Estates law Proficient in drafting legal documents, including motions, affidavits, and legal correspondences.
