Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 3-5 years of experience and an EIT certificate or eligibility to obtain one. The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of building systems and codes, and be able to work independently as well as part of a project team. The role involves performing various aspects of mechanical engineering services on multi-discipline building design projects for commercial and government facilities, as well as single discipline mechanical engineering projects. This includes all aspects of mechanical design services from conceptual studies to construction documents, and services associated with the bidding and construction phases.Responsibilities

Perform multiple aspects of mechanical engineering services on multi-discipline building design projects.

Handle mechanical engineering projects of varying scopes for commercial and government facilities.

Perform all aspects of mechanical design services including conceptual studies, programming, schematic documents, design development documents, and construction documents under the supervision of a Senior Mechanical Engineer or Principal.

Participate in the bidding process by preparing addenda and amendments and tabulating bids.

Conduct mechanical engineering services during the construction phase, including field visits, answering RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and preparing record drawings.

Select and lay out mechanical systems, considering alternative systems.

Prepare accurate, complete, and code-compliant drawings and specifications for schematic, design development, and construction document submittals.

Review drawings produced by CADD technicians assigned to the project.

Coordinate with other disciplines involved in the project.

Perform QA/QC review on assigned projects.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD.

3-5 years of mechanical engineering experience.

Knowledge of building systems and building codes.

Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.

EIT certificate or eligibility to obtain one.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency in Revit is a plus.

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Sprinkler systems design is a plus.
