Independent Contractor Opportunity - Language Specialist On-Call Translation and Interpretation Services

Mid Atlantic Arts is committed to an ongoing process to increase the accessibility of its grant programs. To this end, we are seeking specialists to provide translation of written materials, interpretation in live meetings, and translation into captions for prerecorded meetings. We may hire up to 5 interpreters to ensure all needs in all requested languages can be met.Responsibilities - Spanish Language Specialist:Written translation: Translate prewritten English-language grant applications, instructions, and other text content into Spanish to provide captions, transcripts, or other content.Editing: Ensure any existing Spanish-language text is grammatically and conceptually aligned with the English-language program guidelines or other materials.Webinar hosting: Specialist may host specific Spanish-language webinars non-concurrently with English-language sessions.Live meeting interpretation: Provide occasional real-time, two-way Spanish interpretation for 1-on-1 meetings, Q&A sessions, webinars, and similar events.Live meeting captioning: Provide Spanish subtitles concurrently with English-language presentations.Responsibilities - American Sign Language Specialist:   Live meeting interpretation: Provide real-time, two-way interpretation for 1-on-1 meetings, Q&A sessions, webinars, and similar events.
