Description We are seeking an HR Business Partner to join our team at a prestigious educational institution located in Baltimore, Maryland. This role is crucial in managing employee relations and contributing to the overall HR functions of the organization. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Lead the Employee Relations function, acting as a key point of contact for all related inquiries. Oversee day-to-day operations of Employee Relations to ensure a smooth workflow. Handle intake calls for investigations related to Employee Relations. Collaborate on project work aimed at refining current Employee Relations policies and procedures. Utilize skills in Employee Relations and HRBP to enhance the effectiveness of the HR team. Ensure compliance with labor laws to maintain a fair and equitable work environment. Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the university's objectives. Provide guidance and support to the HR team in managing complex employee relations issues. Contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems. Maintain regular onsite presence to ensure effective operation of all HR functions. Requirements Possession of a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of five years of experience as an HR Business Partner within the Education or University sector. Proven track record in Employee Relations and Labor Employee Relations. Demonstrable experience in HRBP (Human Resources Business Partner) role. Proficiency in using HR software and computer applications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. Demonstrable knowledge of HR policies and procedures. Certification in Human Resource Management would be an added advantage. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. High ethical standards and integrity. Ability to adapt to changes and work in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Excellent decision-making skills and leadership abilities. Proven experience in implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. Familiarity with employment laws and regulations.
