Accounting Assistant

Description We are seeking an Accounting Assistant based in Baltimore, Maryland. The role will involve managing and processing property tax assessments, responding to customer inquiries about refunds, and entering payments into the property tax system. This role is a contract position with a focus on accounting functions.Responsibilities: Review and assess property tax changes Input refund details into the tax refund system Manage and respond to emails Evaluate refund requests and process them the system Handle requests to modify tax credits and update customers accordingly Enter tax payments into the systemRequirements Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Prior experience with Property Tax Strong data entry skills, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency Experience in billing and invoice management Ability to process refunds in a timely and accurate manner Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) practices and procedures Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a teamRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
