Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems Sector is currently seeking a talented Configuration Manager! This position is part of a Northrop Grumman primed program within our Sensing & Secure Solutions Operating Unit. The Configuration Manager will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Assist in implementing hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures.
- Assist in defining and implementing hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures; such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrating those scripts with the hardware and software build process
- Assist in the use of configuration management tools (e.g., GitLab, Clearcase/Clearquest, Eclipse) to store, track, and manage configuration items
- Ability to use other document management tools (e.g., SharePoint, Eclipse) as a repository for documentation that is under configuration control
- Understand basic concepts, and assist in documenting hardware, software, and documentation configuration management processes and procedures
- Implement hardware, software, and documentation version control processes, policies and procedures
- Understand basic concepts, assist in maintaining and developing the environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing and integration
- Ability to assist in implementing hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures.
- Ability to assist in defining and implementing hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures; such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrating those scripts with the hardware and software build process
- A minimum of an Associate's degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Nine (9) years' experience as a CM in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Four (4) years of additional CM experience may be substituted for an Associate's degree.
- A TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph is required.
- An ability to develop and maintain software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products.
- An ability to perform configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable.
- An ability to design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools using programming, database or scripting languages to improve software
