Hours: Monday–Friday, 3 PM – 10 PM
Location: Gambrills, MD
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Household Manager with a background in education to provide academic support and oversee household administration. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young adults (we have two high-school age boys!), excels in organization, and can manage multiple responsibilities in a highly dynamic household. Reliability around the academic semester is a necessity.
This is an excellent opportunity for a college student, recent graduate, or graduate student with evening availability, or for a former educator interested in an evening schedule. A great candidate is interested in developing and improving the executive functions of a highly complex system. You must be proactive, detail-oriented, tech-savvy; a good writer, a better communicator, and the best to be around! Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a bonus, but not a requisite.
Key Responsibilities:
Homework & Academic Support: Assist students with assignments, organization, and study habits. Ensure homework completion and comprehension.
Calendar & Schedule Management: Coordinate and oversee the children’s activities (numerous sports, after-school activities, personal coaching sessions), school deadlines, and family calendar.
Household Administration: Manage emails related to school, extracurriculars, and household matters. Organize and track packages, supplies, and household needs.
Communication & Coordination: Liaise with teachers, tutors, coaches, and extracurricular instructors as needed. This includes writing, editing, and summarizing.
Daily Organization: Help maintain a structured routine for the children, ensuring an optimal balance between academics, activities, and downtime.
Ideal Candidate:
Background in education (teaching, tutoring, or academic coaching preferred).
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Comfortable handling household logistics and multitasking.
Warm, patient, and proactive in supporting students' academic success.
Tech-savvy, able to manage digital calendars, emails, and online assignments.
