Job Title:Systems Administrator Clearance Required: Secret Job Location: Aberdeen, MD Job Salary: $90K-$100K (The salary range provided is a general guideline. Job Description: Install, configure, and maintain an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers. Perform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems. Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups. Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access. Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses. May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software. Project specific: responsible for the acquisition, installation, maintenance, and usage of the organization's local area network. Manages network performance and maintains network security. Ensures that security procedures are implemented and enforced. Installs all network software. Evaluates, develops and maintains telecommunications systems. Troubleshoots network problems. Establishes and implements network policies, procedures, and standards and ensures their conformance with information systems and organization objectives. Trains users on network operation. Frequently reports to Senior Network Engineer/Description: Under direct supervision, maintains integrity of the operating system environment. Performs system software upgrades including planning and scheduling, testing, and coordination. Performs workstation and server administration setup. Coordinates disk space planning and management. Maintains growth statistics, space forecasts, tape libraries, and software and hardware inventories. Performs data backups and recoveries. Monitors and maintains continuity with system software licensing and maintenance agreements. Provides recommendations regarding hardware and system software planning and budgeting. Maintains production change control schedule and participates in change control Key Responsibilities: Experience with Windows Servers 2019 / Windows 11 Operation System (OS) Experience with Microsoft group policy settings and registry editing, Windows Operation Systems and Software (WSUS), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Tenable Security Center, Nessus, and STIG Compliance (Evaluate-STIG, STIG Viewer) and generate reports and interpret the results express the risks and conduct remediation on the vulnerability. Experience with WSUS configuration and patch deployment Experience with patch management software such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and Microsoft Intune. Experience with security tools including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, antivirus, encryption, and identity management solutions. Experience in the use of Microsoft Group Policy settings and registry editing. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Oracle 8VM experience Qualifications: Minimum Education Level BA/BS 5+ Yrs.
