The STaRT program is a critical initiative focused on advancing software technology research and transitioning innovative solutions to operational environments. As part of this team, you will play a vital role in developing and maintaining software solutions that support the Army's mission-critical operations.Position Description: ASRC Federal is seeking a Software Developer Senior III to support the US Army CECOM SETA Program, specifically contributing to the STaRT program. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining software for engineering applications, including ASP.NET/C# web applications with SQL Server or Azure SQL databases. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, 5 years of recent experience, and a Secret security clearance. The developer will focus on transitioning innovative research into operational systems while adhering to DoD security protocols.Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and test software applications, including operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software applications, supporting the STaRT program.
Set operational specifications, formulate, and analyze software requirements to meet mission-critical objectives within the STaRT framework.
Design and implement embedded systems software to support the STaRT program's needs.
Collaborate with analysts to gather requirements and develop solutions that enhance analytic capabilities, particularly for STaRT-related projects.
Develop ASP.NET/C# web applications with SQL Server or Azure SQL databases.
Ensure that all software development adheres to DoD database and code security protocols.
Provide expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment, with a focus on transitioning research to operational environments through the STaRT program.
Requirements :Minimum Qualifications:
Must have 5 years of experience within the last 8 years in software design, development, and maintenance for engineering applications, with experience supporting innovative research programs like STaRT.
3+ years of experience in ServiceNow development.
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification is desired.
Strong understanding of ITSM, HR, and other ServiceNow modules.
Must be U.S citizen eligible for a Secret Clearance.
Desired Skills:
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of embedded systems, compilers, and network distribution software is a plus.
Familiarity with DoD development environments and practices, particularly in transitioning research to operational systems through the STaRT program.
