Staff Accountant

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in South Portland, Maine. This role plays a crucial part in our financial operations, working closely with the accounting team to ensure the accuracy of financial statements and cash flow. The successful candidate will be responsible for tasks related to general ledger, bank reconciliations, month-end closing, and journal entries.Responsibilities Accurately handling bank reconciliations to ensure financial integrity Maintaining and updating the general ledger regularly Assisting in the month-end closing process to ensure timely financial reporting Preparing and posting journal entries for accurate record-keeping Utilizing Great Plains Dynamics for various accounting tasks Engaging in the healthcare revenue cycle process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Staff Accountant Proven expertise in performing Bank Reconciliations Demonstrable experience with General Ledger management Proficient in creating and managing Journal Entries Experience in handling Month End Close processes Knowledge of Great Plains Dynamics software is required Familiarity with HealthCare Revenue Cycle is advantageous Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
