Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's finance team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing invoices, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely payments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable processes, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy and integrity.Responsibilities:
Receive, review, and process invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Verify invoice accuracy, including matching invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents.
Code and enter invoices into the accounting system, ensuring proper general ledger account allocation.
Prepare and process payment batches, including checks, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
Communicate with vendors to address inquiries, resolve payment discrepancies, and maintain positive relationships.
Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and accruals.
Generate reports and analysis related to accounts payable activities for management review.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to streamline accounts payable processes.
Provide support to other members of the finance team and assist with special projects as needed.
