Robert Half Technology is taking applications for a Systems Engineer role in the Service industry. You'll be a successful Systems Engineer is you are a key contributor to the maintenance and optimization of the client's network and wireless infrastructure. This long-term temporary-to-full-time employment opportunity.Major responsibilities- Produce 2nd and 3rd level support- Survey and sample application performance for potential bottlenecks, pinpoint possible solutions, and cooperate with developers to perform those fixes- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability- Administer and control all installed systems and infrastructure- Be involved the design of information and operational support systems- Inscribe and uphold custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks- Install, maintain, configure, and test operating systems, application software and system management tools- Manage redundancy strategies, security, and backup- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution Requirements - You'll be a good fit for this position if you have experience with virtualization and containerization- General familiarity with Linux- Project management experience highly desired- Vmware Infrastructure experience- Solid understanding of Hyper-V- Well-founded grasp of MCSE Certification- VMware experience- Quality experience with disaster recovery- Vmware Technologies experience preferred- Proven knowledge of MCSE- Practical knowledge of OSI Model - Applicants with solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks are preferred - You might be a good fit for this position if you have experience with automation software - Applicants who have solid networking knowledge are preferred - We are particularly looking for candidates with proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting various operating systems - This position will be the best fit for a candidate who has solid scripting skills- 5+ years of relevant experience - You'll be a good fit for this position if you have experience with monitoring systems Robert Half Technology matches IT professionals with remote or on-site jobs on a temporary, project or full-time basis.
