New England Donor Services is seeking an experienced ICU RN, Critical Care RN, Trauma Nurse to join our team. As a Donation Coordinator you will respond on-site to organ donor referrals to provide clinical expertise in donor evaluation, donor management, organ allocation and organ recovery.You will blend high level clinical and people skills to educate hospital staff on the donation process, work with donor families to obtain consent for donation and work with multiple surgical teams and critical care staff to optimize organs for transplantation. Success in this role requires a self-assured professional who has keen clinical assessment skills, the ability to be flexible and remain calm and effective in highly charged and clinically complex situations.Schedule:Orientation: After a general company wide week long onsite (Waltham, MA) orientation, you will participate in a specialized organ donation training program.The New Hire Donation Academy is 3 days/week for first 3 weeks in Waltham office (generally Tuesday through Thursday on a day shift) and additional training in Waltham office throughout orientation program. Once the classroom training is completed, new hires will participate in a mix of 16-hour day and 12-hour night on-call shifts.  Average 14 shifts per 4-week schedule + trainings + meetings. Significant travel with personal vehicle throughout all of New England is expected. Mileage and other reimbursements available.Independent: 12-hour night shifts, 8:00pm -8:00am shift.  (3 shifts per week, on a 4 week schedule - up to  40hrs week ) + trainings + meetings.
