Pineland Farms is one of the largest food manufacturing organizations located in Aroostook County. Our Mars Hill facility has over 200 incredible team members who work together to provide our customers with the best possible potato product.ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary:Responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness of the production employee welfare areas, such as breakrooms, entry way, bathrooms, and locker rooms. Plus, other duties as assigned.Duties and Responsibilities:Operate a vacuum and power brush as necessary to keep floors clean in welfare, as well as small walk ways within areas of the plant. Sweep and mop all plant office once per week. Wipes down door handles, tables, other areas that need constant sanitation. Maintains main office stock room and replaces towel rolls, hand soap and other toiletries as needed. Maintains cleanliness of water fountains as well placing new water bottles in place, filing cup holders and emptying garbage receptacles near fountains. Emptying garbage receptacles within the welfare area as needed to maintain cleanliness. As well as transport that material to the trash compactor for disposal. Maintains an area for stocking welfare area with hand towels, soap and PPE. Refills as needed the welfare paper towels, soap and other rest room items. Determines appropriate cleaning materials to use and utilize in accordance with all manufacturers’ specifications. Conducts proper sanitation of cleaning equipment (i.e. powered floor cleaner, mop heads, brooms, etc.). Requisition supplies, equipment, tools, and materials as needed. Responsible for documenting daily cleaning and testing activity along with any required records based on pre-determined standards of work. Inspects all eye wash and emergency showers on a monthly basis for proper function and access. This information is recoded and filed along with providing information on areas that need repair. Checking our Blood Borne Pathogen kits and whether they need restocking. Checking our various plant sinks for availability of water, soap and trash receptacle. During the check measure the water temperature that it is warm within 15 seconds. Works with janitorial vendor regarding issues noted, or identifying specific areas that need more attention. Follow all SQF principles pertinent to your position as specified by the SQF Practitioner. All food safety and human safety concerns need to be reported to appropriate personnel such as Safety Manager, FSQ Manager, etc. All other duties as assigned Qualifications Education/Experience: High school or GED.
