NDC, a leader in the Telecommunications industry is looking for candidates who are interested in an adventure filled career. This positon is on the cutting edge of developing communications industry. Tower hands will be working outdoors at elevations in most conditions. This is a great opportunity to travel the State of Maine and have a great time. Some overnight travel in the state of Maine will be required at times.
No experience required.
Job duties and Requirements:
-Climbing and working at heights on average of 200 feet
-Climbing and working on communications towers
- installing, replacing, and repairing antenna system equipment
- Microwave dish assembly and installation
- Path alignments
- Line sweeping
- Tower lighting troubleshooting & installation
- Tower assembly and erection
Qualifications
- No prior experience required
- Proficient in climbing and rigging
- Familiar with field service and telecommunication
- Knowledge of high voltage and fiber splicing a plus
- Experience with 5G, 4G/LTE, and low voltage technologies
- Ability to operate bucket trucks and perform cabling tasks
- Skilled in using voltmeters and welding techniques
Report to Foreman
Uphold quality workmanship surpassing industry standards
Follow all state and federal safety regulations (OSHA, local turfing vendor, etc.) while working in safe and efficient productive manner.
Maintain a professional working attitude with co-workers and customers
Ground / civil work familiarity with all aspects of tower site construction
The basic use and care of hand tools and mechanical equipment.
Knowing the hazards associated with tower climbing, construction equipment, and working on or near energized lines and equipment.
Work under close supervision.
Must be able to assist crew when needed Must be able to communicate well with on-site foreman.
