Job Description:
As a Marina Operations Assistant, you will serve as a frontline ambassador of Spring Point Marina, supporting both our seasonal and year-round boating clientele. This role blends customer service, hands-on marina maintenance, and operational duties in a high-traffic, fast-paced coastal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Welcome and assist marina guests with a friendly, professional attitude
Foster strong relationships with members and guests to create a family-oriented marina culture
Perform general upkeep of docks, facilities, and marina-owned equipment to maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment
Safely operate boats, tractors, forklifts, and various marine and maintenance equipment
Provide line-handling assistance and fueling support to members and transients
Assist with orientations and special events as needed
Efficiently prioritize tasks and pivot based on operational needs and customer activity
Communicate clearly via phone, radio, and internal systems
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and facility needs
Monitor and uphold safety standards across all marina activities
Support dock scheduling, transient assignments, and point-of-sale transactions
Help lead seasonal team members by example through initiative, accountability, and positive attitude
Job Requirements Qualifications:
Strong customer service orientation with a proactive and welcoming approach
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Effective communication skills – verbal, written, and digital
Detail-oriented with excellent multitasking and organizational abilities
Valid Maine driver’s license
Must be 21 years or older
Ability to accept constructive feedback and demonstrate a growth mindset
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and working outdoors in variable conditions
Strong leadership instincts and desire to help others succeed
Preferred Experience:
Boat handling experience
Marina or waterfront operations experience
Background in construction, facilities, or general maintenance
High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate’s or Bachelor's degree preferred
Basic knowledge of power tools, maintenance systems, and POS systems

Physical and Technical Requirements:
Ability to swim
Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor daily
Comfort working near or on the water in a marine environment
