WE ARE HIRING highly-motivated individuals to come onboard and join a brand-new cannabis retail experience in Portland, Maine! Are you the candidate we’re looking for? We are looking for someone who is energetic with dynamic leadership qualities, and who has the ability to create sales growth to exceed expectations. We need someone who will assist us in our rapid expansion and help us educate and inform our customer base about cannabis and how to benefit from its use.

YOU HAVE at least one year of experience working in customer service and in a team-oriented position, preferably in the cannabis industry, and a desire to grow with the company.

In New England, we have partnered with Origins Enterprises, LCC, a fast-growing national cannabis retail chain headquartered in Seattle. They have served the needs of the adult-use cannabis consumer for many years in the Northwest and Midwest regions. Together, we are expanding to New England to further develop our ability to provide safe, well-regulated product to all consumers who are of legal age. We exist to inspire people and communities to discover the potential of cannabis, by providing the highest quality cannabis in an inviting environment with client-centric educational values.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Cannabis Guides are the first point of contact for Customers and Visitors and are responsible for delivering Outstanding Customer Experiences. The primary responsibility of the Cannabis Guide is to provide exceptional service in all actions and interactions and ensure the customer’s needs are met.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Cannabis Guides are the primary point of contact for Customers and Visitors and are responsible for delivering Outstanding Customer Experiences.

- Help Customers understand and select specific products tailored to meet their needs.

- Explain and promote the Brand, Mission, Purpose, and Values.

- Develop and maintain lasting and impactful professional relationships by making meaningful connections with Customers.

- Effectively and accurately use the technology required for the position\.

- Ensure accuracy of cash in till.

- Ensure accuracy of inventory.

- Participate in maintaining cleanliness and organization.

- Demonstrate an awareness of their own world view and that different world views exist.

- Demonstrate respect for and openness to cultural differences.

- Demonstrate respect and a positive, caring attitude towards all customers and colleagues.

- Proactively seek ways to improve the experience of the Customer and their own performance.

Performance Requirements: (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

- Adhere to company guidelines.

- Be knowledgeable about Cannabis products, methods of delivery and applications.

- Be knowledgeable about and adhere to state and local Cannabis regulations.

- Seek out additional education to assist with product knowledge and recommendations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

- Work is generally performed in a busy dispensary and requires frequent contact and interaction with Customers, Vendors, and Visitors.

- Hours and shifts worked per week are varied and include mornings, nights, afternoons, and weekends. Shifts vary depending on hours of operation and business needs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- Ability to operate a computer, keyboard, iPad, receipt printer, and other point of sale equipment.

- Frequent moving, reaching, and grabbing.

- Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and moving up to 20 lbs.

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Must be 21+ and possess a valid driver’s license or state ID.
