Paradigm Windows is hiring for a Human Resource Generalist.

Salary: $54,000- $63,000/ yr DOE.

Schedule: Standard office hours.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Human Resource Generalist will assist in running the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including on-boarding staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, employee file management, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include Supervisor skill training, anti-harassment training/ADA training, policy and procedure training.

Daily management of Employee Files and File retention.

May assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations.

Assists in conducting or acquiring background checks and employee eligibility verifications.

Assists in execution of new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.

Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.

Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, supervisors, and managers, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Handles routine human resource inquiries related to policies and procedures; refers complex matters to appropriate management staff.

Serves as the initial contact and liaison for intake and assessment of employee complaints.

Conducts initial interviews and gathers information for employee relations matters such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other concerns; informs appropriate HR staff when additional investigation is required.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.

2-3 years of human resource experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.

Experience in HRIS implementation a plus.

SHRM-CP/SCP certification a plus, or currently on the journey to certification.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facility Physical exertion required involving walking, standing, bending. Routine discomforts from exposure to moderate levels of heat, cold from working in the warehouse facility.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to work inside, this position will work closely with others in addition to working alone.
