Position Summary:
This opening is for a Production Specialist at Woodex Bearing Company, Inc. It is a full-time, onsite, long-term position with an opportunity for advancement within our growing company. The responsibilities for this position include several support positions in the shop, including but not limited to assisting in woodshop or MECO shop in manufacturing, plastic prep, rubber prep, metal, and plastic lapping. Looking for someone with mechanical ability with the desire to learn new skills. Once trained, the individual will learn to run some simple manual machines, with the potential to advance to the role of machine operator.
To be successful as a Production Specialist, you must be willing to acquire an in-depth knowledge of Woodex/ MECO’s products and services.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent with experience in manufacturing is a plus.
Strong mechanical aptitude; experience with industrial machinery is a plus.
Read blueprints.
Strong work ethic.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
The ability to follow instructions.
Excellent technical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organization and time management.
Good team working skills.
The desire to learn and a commitment to safety.
Ability to sit/stand/walk for 8 - 10 hour shift & lift up to 35 pounds.
