Picture Framer (will train) Flex Schedule

Artist who has both a storefront gallery (in Damariscotta) and also travels to shows needs a picture framer. No experience necessary, we can train the right candidate. Must be able to use basic hand tools (no power tools), be able to accurately read a tape measurer in far tons to 1/16th, and not be afraid of the occasional paper cut. Duties include cutting mats, glass, foam-board, and assembling the final framed reproduction or original watercolor into a wood or aluminum frame. Final framed item could be anywhere between 8x10 inches and 36x48 inches. Each one should take between 20 and 40 minutes to complete from start to finish, once trained (approx 30 hours to train?Other duties include packaging reproductions for sale unframed (flat in shrink wrap film) and other duties. Work sight is private separate entrance heated addition of our home with bathroom access in Bristol Maine. You could work any hours or days you would like, typically 16 hours per week, but this also means you could work 8 hours 1 week and 24 the next, 4 hours for 4 days per week, etc. We can be very flexible, including last minute issues that cause you to skip a day. Once trained we would give you a list of items (all supplies would be on site) to be completed by a certain reasonable date. We would never require you to work within the next 24 hours- much more like you tell us what days/hours you would work over the next week so we could be sure to have all specific supplies on hand. Must be able to lift 30 pounds, but only occasionally, be responsible, self motivated, and have pride in creating a beautiful final product.
