POSITION SUMMARY
The Yard Operations (Detailer) specializes in the aesthetic maintenance of the many boats in our care. We currently have a crew of 2 members on our growing detail team. This is a full time year round position eligible for health and 401k benefits. Duties include cleaning and detailing boats both in our buildings and out on the water. Detailing includes buffing, waxing, polishing stainless steel, painting bottoms, and maintaining a clean and organized facility as needed. This is an entry level position that does not require previous yacht maintenance experience. However, it does require attention to detail and a strong ability to learn.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Washing, buffing, waxing and polishing, sanding
Painting bottoms
Engine bay detailing
Operate buffers, vacuums and other equipment to meet service expectations
Take pride in one’s work, maintain a high standard of ascetics for a discerning clientele
Available to work overtime when required
TECHNICAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Previous boat yard experience, preferred but not necessary
Ability to ascend and descend a ladder
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Ability to work in confined spaces
Ability to wear a respirator
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Ability to bend, crouch, kneel
