Incredibly scenic rare plant nursery.
Ideally looking for 1 or 2 guys interested in a career, not just a job
This is a unique nursery, in a gorgeous spot on a beautiful lake.
There are trails and vistas everywhere giving a parklike feel.
In addition, out back is a cool tent campground with sites on a babbling stream.
You don't have to be super strongjust fit
Various tasks include moving-digging plants as they grow bigger, (primarily rare and better rhododendrons that are exclusive at the nursery) watering, learning plant care.
Potentially interacting with clients after your comfortable with plants. (If desired)
If you are a thinker type-problem solver that could be a plus.
Higher pay on occasional real landscape work. No grass cutting.
We take several, short paid breaks throughout the day.
If your into hiking, camping and nature, this might be a place for you.
If you really want to get serious, you can learn how to hybridize rhododendrons as it will be a spectacular year for bloom. (Not a requirement)
It is alot of grunt labor at times but educational and I try to make it fun.
Last year we put in thousands of strawberry plants. Weeding, caring for and harvesting them will be part of the work. (Fringe benefit: you can eat some!) These are incredibly tasty berriesnot the junk in stores.
Tell me a little about you.
This is 2-3 days a week but could be more for the right guy. There can be bonuses for good performance. And trips to arboretums. I am not a slave driver.
