Slocum Custom Builders is seeking skilled carpenters to work on additions, new construction and remodeling. Our shop is located in Pownal and we generally work in the greater Portland area. Our focus is to provide top notch customer service and maintain pride in quality craftsmanship. Our company includes experienced carpenters with positive attitudes, the environment is relaxed and easy going, while emphasizing efficiency, productivity, and client oriented. Our carpenters are involved in the entire home building process. Opportunities include framing, installation of doors & windows, exterior trim, siding, decks, interior trim work, cabinet installation and more
Candidates considered should have:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in custom residential construction
- Less experienced carpenters are encouraged to apply. We have experience and are willing to train the right candidates.
- The ability to perform manual labor, climb ladders and carry at least 50 pounds.
- Good communication and client relation skills.
- Work as a team player, positive attitude, pride in work ethic, and eye for details.
- Tools not required but beneficial.
- Reliable transportation and active Maine Driver’s License.
