Job Description:

Crow's Nest Property Management, Inc. is excited to announce the opening of an Inspection Technician position. This is an opportunity to grow with Crow’s Nest and to take on new challenges. An Inspection Technician works directly with CNPM Management to ensure the proper handling of critical inspections and reporting in addition to maintenance work. Success in this role will result in consideration for a management-level position. While the Inspection Technician role offers much independence, this is balanced with a greater level of accountability.

This position involves performing regulatory agency-required inspections of building utility systems and life safety systems in addition to common maintenance tasks. Repairing deficiencies related to these inspections must happen promptly and be documented correctly to remain in compliance. Documentation for this role includes web-based inspection reports, photographing of issues and deficient equipment/conditions, markup of floor plans to identify utility locations and management of all of these files in our company SharePoint. Updating work order systems with progress daily is required as well.

Depending on the purpose and scope, inspections and walkthroughs are scheduled in various intervals including annual, semi-annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly and semi-weekly.

Being organized and properly managing one’s schedule is a significant requirement for this role.

In addition to performing inspections, walkthroughs and maintenance tasks, an Inspection Technician will also:

- Manage/update work orders in work order systems

- Weekly meeting with Management Team

- Participate in responding to off-hours emergency calls

Applicant Requirements: Candidates for this position must possess the following experience and characteristics:

- Minimum of 2 years working in management and/or building trades (general construction, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.)

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- High computer/tablet/phone fluency

- Excellent time management

- Self-Motivation

- Ability to work both in the field and at a computer

- Professionalism

- High moral character

- Close attention to detail

- Great communication skills

- Self-Motivation

- Solid work ethic

- Ability to problem solve

- A valid driver's license

- Computer/tablet/smartphone literacy

- Ability to work with a team or independently

How will you benefit from this role?

This role will be hugely impactful to the Crow’s Nest Management Team. As the scope and importance of building utility systems inspections continues to increase for our customers, you will provide them with dependable documentation that will assist in their ability to properly maintain their facility and critical building systems, prepare them for federal and state regulatory surveys, and largely contribute to their capital budget planning so they can keep their facility running safely and smoothly. You will have the support of Crow’s Nest management to take on new inspection-related projects as we help our customers improve the quality and practices related to their documentation.

This is a year-round, recession-proof, full time position with the following benefits:
