GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
Hauling and launching of vessels, transportation of vessels to and from dry storage, crane and machine operation, oversight of yard equipment maintenance, and performance of physical plant maintenance, including carpentry, painting, landscaping, snow removal, etc.
Job description items include, but are not limited to:
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain a courteous and helpful relationship with customers and members.
Perform yard equipment maintenance where qualified: travel lift, crane, loader, transporter, and yard trucks.
Responsible for the scheduling and oversight of all yard equipment maintenance performed in-house or by outside contractors. Maintain all yard equipment service and safety logs.
Complete time cards in a legible, accurate, and timely manner.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and adhere to quality and safety procedures/protocols.
Assist other departments when necessary; perform related duties as assigned or dictated by supervisor(s).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Clean driving record and valid driver’s license; heavy equipment operator experience.
Ability to supervise and train employees and model appropriate behavior.
Positive attitude, able to work in a fast-paced environment, with good communication skills.
ENVIRONMENTAL & PHYSICAL FACTORS:
Work in a wide variety of environments, conditions, and situations, including:
o Small and/or confined spaces.
o At heights of 20 feet or more.
o Routinely bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing, and reaching for 1-12 hours per day.
o Sitting, standing, and/or walking for 1-12 hours per day.
o Enduring noise, fumes, dust, and inclement weather.
o Must be able to lift and carry 1-50 lbs. throughout the day.
Must be able to safely wear a respirator when needed.
Additional Qualifications Preferred:
Ability to utilize computers and portable diagnostic tools.
Skill in establishing and implementing long-term systematic programs, such as a vehicle maintenance program.
Marine-related tech skills, boat handling, and other marine-related experience
