Cahoon Care Associates, LLC is hiring an experienced professional under the leadership of our Office/ Care Manager to support day-to-day operations of a small, family owned, and operated, non-medical home care agency. The successful Recruiting / Human Resources Manager is focused on the agency business, is a team builder, and excited about meaningful professional relationships between client and caregiver.

Perks and Benefits

Annual Salary – starting at $48,000 annually.

PTO: 104 hours annually, year 1.

401K: eligible after 1 year with company match up to 4%.

Major Responsibilities

Marketing – research and implement appropriate recruiting resources including job boards, job fairs, schools, social

networks, etc. (Overall marketing of the agency to appropriate resources during slower periods.)

Recruiting, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy interpretation and implementation,

and employment law compliance.

Report directly to and collaborate with the Care/Office Manager.

Assist with scheduling appropriate caregivers for clients, ensuring caregiver skill set aligns with client care needs.

Share on-call every other week with the Care/Office Manager.

Maintains personnel files in compliance with company standards and applicable state and federal guidelines.

Provides information and consultation regarding employment questions and HR policies.

Answer phones, ensure appropriate level of office supplies are maintained, guests are greeted professionally in a

welcoming manner and other office duties as needed.

Proactively identify, communicate, and problem solve areas of opportunity for agency growth and improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

At least two (2) years of experience in HR and/or Office Management.

At least one (1) year of experience with recruitment and retention preferred.

Knowledge of administrative practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to

employment, wages and hours, and labor relations, etc.

Knowledge of Microsoft office (Word and Excel).

Knowledge of Scheduling or CRM software (Axis preferred).

Experience with scheduling a plus.

Cahoon Care Associates, LLC is a family-owned and operated non-medical home care agency in Ellsworth, Maine with offices in Hanover, and Sandwich, MA serving seniors and their families. Founded in 2010 by Margery Cahoon Parker and her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Parker. Carolyn has over 30 years of experience in senior care and has managed and worked directly with seniors in various settings, including nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities, and private homes. Margery worked for nearly 30 years as a healthcare industry analyst and portfolio manager. Fourteen years later, Margery and Carolyn, with the support of their team, proudly continue to serve the senior community. Real people, real care.
