My 91 year old father and mother have had a caregiver live with them in their house in Maine for the past four years. My mother died two years ago and the caregiver has continued to take care of my father. The caregiver has decided to stop being a caregiver. As such, the caregiver will be leaving my father's caregiving duties and home soon.
I am seeking a caregiver who would like to live in my father's five bedroom house in Friendship, Maine. His house overlooks the ocean and has a lovely view. The caregiver will have a private bedroom and bathroom. The caregiver will need to cook and shop, clean the house, do laundry, make sure that my father is taking his medications, check his sugar levels for diabetes, drive him to his doctor's appointments and other general care tasks.
My father is a non-smoker, does not drink and does not use foul language. The caregiver must not smoke, use drugs, drink very much and will need to be able to drive my father’s car.
We will pay the caregiver $800 per week plus room and board.
