Smalls seeks a dynamic leader to manage food and beverage operations for our busy cafe/restaurant
Job Responsibilities
-Create the schedule, manage labor shortages and shift call outs
-Manage budgeted labor costs, control overtime
-Manage, interview, hire, fire, discipline, and hold team to high standards
-Orient new employees and oversee training to ensure quality and make sure standards are maintained
-Order all liquor, wine/beer, coffee for cafe service
-Maintain Compliance with Food Handling and Alcohol Serving
-Ensure maintenance requests are handled, and service pieces and service ware are in good working order and good shape
-Ensure the restaurant is clean and opening+closing checklists are completely daily
-Handle POS and other technology and program as needed
-Manage and maximize covers/revenue during service
-Curate and train staff on the beverage program
-Responsible for proving friendly and exceptional service
-Handled customer complaints and take action if necessary
-Maintain Standard Operating Procedure
Qualifications/Experience
-4-5 years of experience in restaurants, 2-3 years experience in management
-Must train and motivate a team and other managers and create a positive work environment, providing hands on leadership in service
-Excellent written and oral communication skills
-Excellent organization skills and time management
-Ability to build relationships and foster positive relationships with community
