At Linda Bean's Main Kitchen & Topside Tavern, we are committed to providing a quality dining experience to all our guests. We are searching for a qualified line cook to help prepare menu items under the guidance of our Head Chef. The line cook will play a vital role in upholding our food safety and cleanliness standards. In addition, the line cook will assist in restocking items, sanitizing equipment, and plating meals. 2 part-time or seasonal positions available

Pay starts $20-24 hourly based on experience and is paid weekly via direct deposit.

The Line Cook will have a variety of duties and responsibilities. The Line Cook will maintain the restaurant concept, menu, and operational standards,

Job Description and Responsibilities: Examples of these responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Be on time for your shift and be prepared and ready to work

Be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

Set up stations and collect all necessary supplies to prepare the menu for service.

Prepare a variety of foods, including meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and cold food items, in accordance with the Kitchen Recipe Bible.

Arrange sauces and supplementary garnishes for the allocated station

Cover, date, and correctly store all bits and pieces and food prep items

Notify the Chef or Sous Chef in advance of likely shortages

Serve menu items compliant with established standards

Use food preparation tools in accordance with manufacturers' instructions

Close the kitchen correctly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations

Maintain a prepared and sanitary work area at all times

Assist with receiving and properly putting away vendor orders as they are received

Keep the work area clean and organized all through the shift

Make sure all storage areas are tidy and all products are stored appropriately

Constantly use safe and hygienic food-handling practices

Return dirty food preparation utensils to the appropriate areas

Assist with all duties as assigned by the Chef

Help with dish station as needed

Help with Prep Staff as Needed

Be ServSafe certified or willing to become certified within 90 days of hire.
