Byers & Sons Long Island Bakehouse is looking for an experienced associate to support our kitchen team with production of hand stretched artisan pizzas, deli sandwiches & local seafood.
Attention to detail, organizational skills, good attitude & hustle are prerequisites.
Available positions include:
Sandwiches/salad: baking bread, using deli slicer, streamlining sandwich production
Fryer/Grill: identifying cook temperatures, making multiple orders at once
Pizza: Hand toss & stretch pizzas.
Specific skills sets are needed for each stations, but cooks must be able to move between stations for efficient delivery of our fresh gourmet-casual cuisine.
Responsibilities include:
Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, using deli slicer, or preparing sauces)
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
PAY is based on experience and performance. Base pay starts at $18/hr + tips (averaged $4-$10/hr. additional to
base pay), overtime
