Full Time (Monday-Friday; 35 hours/40 weeks-school year and 30 hours/9 weeks-summer)

Your role:
The cook is responsible for proper food preparation, temperature control, sanitation, portion sizes and safe food storage, also guaranteeing children are served nutritious, tasteful, appealing meals and snacks according to approved menus that follow the CACFP guidelines.
Ensure daily function of all food service activities meets established expectations, including food transport to other centers if necessary.
Prepare breakfast, lunch, and/or snack for enrolled children, staff, and visitors.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have a high school diploma, GED or HSE equivalent.
Must have ServSafe certification or willing to complete ServSafe certification asap after hire.
Experience in the area of nutrition, food preparation and sanitizing is required.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds, reach to an area of two feet and bend to ground level.
The Cook must be able to perform repetitive work such as chopping, slicing, peeling, etc. for a minimum of two hours per day.
Immunized against MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) and TDaP (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis).
Must be able to pass a background check, to include DHHS and fingerprinting.
