Two Fat Cats Bakery is looking for a year-round, full-time (35-40) bread baker to join our team. This position works at our Portland location at 195 Lancaster, our main kitchen which was designed for efficiency and ease of use.
Two Fat Cats Bakery is a small, but dynamic bakery specializing in pies and cakes. Recognized as one of the best pie bakeries in the United States, the bakery is fast-paced, team-focused and inclusive.
This position is primarily responsible for the bakery's bread program which includes sandwich breads, focaccia, danishes, rolls, and sweet rolls. Responsibilities include mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking doughs, helping with seasonal specials, and recipe testing when necessary. Other responsibilities include:

accurate measuring and weighing
consistency and efficiency in production
adherence to safety protocols
cleanliness in the kitchen and our work environment

We are searching for a team member who has a positive attitude, a passion for baking, can work independently, has excellent time management skills, and enjoys working as part of a team. We require all employees to have an eye for quality. The right candidate may choose a Monday-Friday or Tuesday - Saturday schedule.
We are looking for an individual who is good tempered and polite, has a sense of humor, attention to detail, team focused, and takes pride in their work. Previous bread baking experience is required.
