We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Barista to join our team at Spinning Jenny’s Coffee Cafe. As a Barista, you’ll play a crucial role in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our guests while also contributing to our food offerings. If you’re passionate about coffee, love experimenting with flavors, and enjoy baking, this role is perfect for you!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Coffee Preparation:
-Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages with precision and care.
-Educate customers about our drinks menu, make recommendations based on their preferences, and up-sell special items.
-Operate brewing equipment efficiently.
2. Baking and Food Preparation:
-Develop and propose seasonal drink recipes to enhance our menu.
-Be creative in suggesting breakfast and lunch food items that complement our coffee offerings.
-Engage in limited baking to support the cafe (pastries, cookies, etc.).
3. Customer Service:
-Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining a friendly demeanor.
-Collaborate with other team members to create a welcoming and enjoyable cafe experience.
4. Quality Control:
-Maintain high standards for coffee quality, presentation, and taste.
-Ensure food items meet freshness and taste expectations.
5. Brand Growth:
-Contribute to the growth of the Spinning Jenny’s brand by embodying our values and vision.
-Be open to learning and evolving with the cafe.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Previous experience as a barista, preferably in a coffee bar, cafe, or restaurant setting.
Passion: Genuine love for coffee and a desire to create memorable experiences for guests.
Creativity: Ability to develop unique drink recipes and propose food items that align with our brand.
Adaptability: Willingness to take on limited baking responsibilities and adapt to changing cafe needs.
